**Position Summary**:
This position provides unique insight into Canadian Tire’s Corporate Function Departments (currently including CEO, Finance, Audit & Risk, Talent, Security, Legal, Risk & Regulatory Affairs, Business Architecture and Communications) across all business units.

As an important part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the dynamic functional departments with proactive, actionable analysis and reporting which will drive improved strategic and operational decision making. The incumbent will also participate in the monthly financial review process, as well as the quarterly forecasting cycles. This role reports to the Manager, FP&A - Corporate Functions, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Sr Financial Analyst on the team as a peer coach.

**What you’ll do**:

- Partner with a Sr. Analyst on the team to produce and present insightful financial analysis, forecasts, and management reports to facilitate decision making at various levels within the organization
- Maintain responsibility for the monthly reporting requirements of 2-4 departments in the corporate functions area
- Develop strong knowledge of Corporate Functions consolidated results
- Fulfill ad hoc data and P&L requests for client groups and management
- Work with cross functional groups to investigate and resolve variances, inquiries and business problems

**What you've done**:

- Pursuit of a university degree or college diploma in Finance/Accounting, Economics, Math and/or another related field.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate across various levels within the organization
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (and/or some working knowledge and ability to learn on the job)
- Ability to learn the Hyperion Planning System and HFM accounting system
- Results oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Ability to proactively build effective working relationships with business partners
- Ability to work well in a team environment or independently (including virtually)
