**Position Overview**:

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with Operational staff and the Safety Department on the qualifications of drivers.
- Seek and follow direct leads from the current driver base and any other appropriate means.
- Enter accurate and thorough notes in Applicant Tracking System at every step of the process.
- Be knowledgeable about company requirements, policies, and expectations of a Class 1 driver
- Schedule and organize orientation and onboarding for new drivers,
- Be able to thrive in a team environment while achieving individual goals
- Collaborate with unit managers to forecast recruiting needs for Harlyn Operations in Quebec.
- Promotion of job postings researching, adopting, and implementing industry leading modes of communication
- CSST equivalent to WSIB, workers comp - physical coverage
- Ensure same orientation for owner operators including Workers’ compensation and CSST documentation is in place before start of work.
- Coordinating with finance to ensure all payroll and benefit plan information is complete and in place prior to first day of work.
- Maintain all driver qualification files ensuring completeness and currency of all items required by law. Report to manager any issues of non-compliance.
- Support organization of semi-annual driver safety meetings.
- Ensure growth, development, and compliance of driver mentorship program.
- Ensure all coaching/discipline documentation is uploaded in DQ file.
- Active participation/involvement in industry associations: Ontario Trucking Association, Truck Training Schools Association of Ontario, Montreal Trucking Associations.

**Requirements**:

- Bilingual, French, and English is a must.
- Strong previous experience in driver recruitment in Quebec.
- Post secondary education in HR, administration, or relevant field.
- Strong MS Office skills.
- Strong influencing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effective listening and strong communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and resolution skills.
- Relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment and handle moderate-stress environments.
