**Job description**

Join our team of professional educators that have a passion for the field and a love for children This posting is for our School Age program where care is provided in a classroom in the school. Children aged kindergarten to grade 6, program located in Okotoks, AB. Educators implement day to day activities based on child interest and play based learning. We believe play is an important part in early childhood education and we strive to give the children a balance of opportunities to both direct their own activities and have an educated, experienced educator engage them through experimenting, discovery, feeling, seeing, smelling, touching, hearing, and imagining.

**Schedule & Shift Hours**:
Educators must be willing to work split shift (7am-9am and 3:00pm-5:30pm) during the school year September to June. Non school days such as PD days, spring break, Easter break, and summer full time straight through hours available. Full time hours for July and August as we provide summer camp care

**What You Will Need**:

- Alberta Early Childhood Education Level 1, 2, or 3 (preference given to level 2/3 due to current needs of the program. If currently in school for level 2 or 3 please let us know)
- Criminal Record Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Search
- First Aid and CPR Certification

We believe play is an important part in early childhood education.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Okotoks, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Alberta early childhood education level 1, 2, or 3 (preferred)

Work Location: In person
