**HDD Superintendent**

**Key Information**:

- ** Must have at least 3-5 years in a superintendent role or equivalent experience.**:

- ** Must have at least 10 years of civil construction or equivalent experience.**:

- ** Must be able to operate boring (drilling) equipment for installation of underground utility lines and infrastructure.**:

- ** Underground utilities/Water & Sewer experience is an asset.**:

- ** Hours: Various shifts, project dependent, 12-hour days**:

- ** Must be willing to working evenings and weekends (Various shift rotations)**:

- ** Hourly rate is dependent on experience.**:

- **Health benefits and vacation pay offered.**
- ** Plan, schedule, direct crews within the budget and timeline assigned.**:

- ** Provide leadership and training to General Foreman, Foreman and other field staff.**:

- Work with the Safety Advisors to ensure the work is performed safely.
- Plan the construction function to establish an affective organization.
- Direct the overall construction program of the project.
- Ensure project is meeting construction schedule.
- Provide leadership to promote maximum productivity on site.

**Experience and Certifications**:

- **A minimum of 3-5 years in a Superintendent role or equivalent experience required.**:

- ** Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating directional boring equipment including a ditch witch required.**:

- ** Must be able to operate boring (drilling) equipment for installation of underground utility lines and infrastructure.**:

- Water & Sewer/Underground Utilities construction experience considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills
- Equipment Operator experience or other field experience is an asset.
- Must have Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09) Certificate, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level II and Leadership for Safety Excellence
- ** Travel required - a valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.**:

- ** A reliable means of transportation is required.**:

- Proficient English language skills required.

**Education**: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
