**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Lakefront Utility Services Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst to join our team. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting data sets to uncover valuable insights and drive data-informed decision-making. Reporting directly to the Regulatory Compliance & Billing Supervisor, you will collaborate within a team-oriented environment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Monitor and review by conducting audits and quality control checks on customer bills.
- Ensure the customer service and billing department is compliant with established practices set out by the Ontario Energy Board’s regulations. (i.e., Distribution System Code)
- Monitor the data integrity of systems ensuring proper quality controls are in place.
- Ensure the integrity of research project data, possibly including data extraction, processing, storage, manipulation, and analysis.
- Support new product development and continuous improvement by integrating quality control tools into processes.
- Act as a point of contact between the customer information system service provider(s) for support and troubleshooting.
- Responsible for logging support tickets to our respective software support companies.
- Develop methods to enable the accurate measurement of quality results.
- Assess the quality of the systems and processes in place to identify shortfalls.
- Analyze exception reports to track inconsistencies and identify core issues.
- Produce monthly reports showing the quality assurance results from the team; present findings and weaknesses, as well as a plan of action to correct or mitigate the weaknesses.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel for data manipulation, summarization, and analysis of large datasets, utilizing formulas for optimal efficiency.
- Familiarity with writing queries for data extraction.
- Experience in database interrogation and/or database management is considered an asset.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective presentations.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills to engage and communicate with internal and external clients.
- Ability to manage multiple activities of varying complexity while meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in the utility industry is an asset.
