We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Technician to support our Fleet, Equipment Readiness program & preventative maintenance needs.

This is a full-time employee position, based out of our Red Deer Shop location.

**Summary of Essential Job Functions**
- Perform tasks with a special focus on safety of themselves and others in their work area
- Actively engaging, understanding, and complying with all Dalco Safety Rules and Safe Work Practices
- Perform preventative maintenance on Fleet (Automotive), as well as various other types of equipment such as: Diesel Compressors, Diesel Vacuums & Dust Collection Equipment
- Perform equipment & vehicle inspections
- Diagnose equipment failures, troubleshoot, and determine repairs as needed
- Adjust equipment parameters
- Function test all repaired equipment to ensure performance
- Always maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Maintain documentation of all work performed (Work Orders, Fleet Maintenance Logs, etc.)
- Assist with pick up and delivery of equipment and parts, as needed
- Identifying and ordering parts required to maintain and repair equipment
- Facility / Yard Maintenance as Needed (Front End Loader Operation, Overhead Crane, Etc)
- Review documentation submitted by Field Service crews: Completed Equipment Checklists, Pre/Post Trip Documentation to identify any repairs or diagnostic requirements.

**Minimum Requirements**
- Automotive or Heavy Duty Mechanic Trade certification is highly preferred
- Comfortable performing maintenance & diagnostics on a variety of diesel vehicles and equipment
- Self motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Safety & Team Orientated
- Occasional Travel to Off-Site Locations
- General knowledge of diesel equipment, trailers, loaders, and light fleet vehicles
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
- Basic to Intermediate Computer Skills
- Highly organized, able to prioritize work orders based on project requirements / schedules provided by others

- Punctual, Engaged & Fit for Duty
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Good communication skills
- Local to Red Deer or willing to relocate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $36.85-$40.20 per hour
