Montréal, Canada CN Employees' and Pensioners' Community Fund Full time

**Who we are**:
The CN Employees’ and Pensioners’ Community Fund has been in existence for over 55 years. Thanks to the generosity of CN employees and pensioners, and the diligence of its many volunteers over the years, our Fund is one of the largest and most successful of its kind in Canada.

The Community Fund is a registered charity that organizes fundraising activities as well as an annual fundraising campaign in support of various charities.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Coordination - 30%_
- Plan, develop and coordinate a variety of fundraising projects across Canada and the United States;
- Collaborate in the development, strategies and internal canvassing during the annual fundraising campaign.
- Ensure that coordinated projects correspond to the strategic orientations and objectives of the CN Community Fund;
- Participate in committees working on fundraising projects teams across Canada and in the United States;
- Manage fundraising kiosks in the entrance head office lobby;
- Provide support to employees and retirees wishing to organize a fundraising activity.
- Communication - 30%_
- Contribute to the development, harmonization and coordination of communication strategies for fundraising activities and campaigns;
- Manage regular correspondence for the Community Fund;
- Contribute to monthly messages to CN employees across Canada and the United States as well as messages for various activities;
- Create advertising posters for fundraising activities, fundraising campaigns and other events supported by the Community Fund;
- Manage and update the Community Fund website;
- Actively contribute to the solicitation, development and implementation of the donor acquisition strategy;
- Administration - 40%_
- Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer. (CEO);
- Develop and provide reports and evaluations related to various projects such as the annual fundraising campaign and other events supported by the Community Fund across Canada and the United States;
- Document donation entry records and analyze annual fundraising campaign results;
- Complete monthly Paypal account reconciliation;
- Provide general office support including, receiving and forwarding mail, answering phones and taking messages, filing and updating files as well as handling FedEx shipments.
- Provide administrative and organizational support for activities across Canada and the United States;
- Coordinate the compilation, printing and mailing of annual tax receipts;
- Provide technical support for the Community Fund website;
- Complete the modification of payroll deductions donations throughout the year;
- Handle the update of employee and pensioner lists.

**Requirements and skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in communications, management, philanthropy or another relevant degree;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management and administration;
*Experience in a non-profit environment is an asset*
- Multidisciplinary profile: project management, research, business development;
- Perfectly bilingual, both written and oral (French, English);
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Good knowledge of Canva or other graphic design software;
- Great ability to manage several different tasks at the same time;
- Sense of organization and respect for deadlines;
- Autonomy and sense of initiative;
- Collaborates with others and shares information;
- Demonstrates active listening;
- Applies critical thinking;
- Analytical and organizational skills.

**Working conditions**:

- A permanent position;
- A schedule of 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday (except occasionally 1 weekend per year);
- Hybrid position;
- 2 weeks paid vacation (Canadian Labor Code);
- 10 paid general holidays;
- Laptop provided;
- Starting: June 3, 2024
