**Position**: Day Camp Counsellor**:
**Location**:St. Thomas YMCA**:
**Start Date**:July 2**, 2024 - August 30**th**, 2024**:
**Training: TBD, June 2024**

**Salary**:$16.55/ hour

**As part of your total compensation**:

**In this role, you will**:

- Learn how to effectively lead all day camp programming
- Create developmentally appropriate program plan
- Participate actively in all camp activities and special events
- Incorporate inclusive programming allowing for children of all abilities to participate
- Involve campers in choice of activity where appropriate
- Encourage campers to set and achieve goals

***What you need to succeed**:

- Experience working with children
- Current Emergency First Aid and CPR
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening as per current YMCA HR policy
- Participation in YMCA Healthy Child Development (training provided)
- A dedication to demonstrate the YMCA core values
