**A typical day?**
- The Prototype Assembler Specialist will perform multiple direct prototype assembly of coach/bus heavy-duty vehicles in support of the New Product Development Team to setup a fully functional vehicle in preparation for the production line build of the same. Daily activities include mechanical and electrical assembly work.
- Investigate and resolve mechanical and minor electrical issues encountered during the prototype build.
- Work closely with the Product Development Team and pass on lessons learned to the production build team.
- Execute in-plant basic troubleshooting and develop/implement solutions as required by colleagues.
- Provide general status of prototype builds, identify, and address potential roadblocks preventing deliveries.
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives.

**Qualifications**:

- Electrical/Engineering Technology diploma or degree or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years of equivalent related industry/technology experience.
- Knowledge of vehicle mechanical and basic electrical systems, high-voltage system knowledge is considered an asset
- System troubleshooting
- Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills required.
- Eligibility to work in Canada is required and eligibility to travel into the U.S.
- English speaking and writing an important assets for communication with colleagues of the client site and technical documentation.
