Job Title: Tennis Instructor

Reports to: Camp Manager

Dates: July 4 - August 25, 2023

Times: Full Time - Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Location: Bellbury Tennis Club, 65 Van Horne Ave, North York, ON M2J 2S9

Compensation: Based on experience and certification level

Job Summary: The Tennis Instructor will be responsible for providing instruction and guidance to campers of all skill levels in the sport of tennis. This includes developing and implementing lesson plans, leading drills and exercises, and coaching during game-play. The coach will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement lesson plans for campers of all skill levels
- Lead drills and exercises to improve campers' tennis skills
- Coach during gameplay and provide feedback to campers
- Maintain tennis equipment and facilities in good condition
- Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers
- Communicate with the Camp Director regarding campers' progress and any issues that arise

Qualifications:

- Strong background in tennis, including experience playing and instructing
- Ability to work with children of all ages and skill levels
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- TPA instructor certification or equivalent preferred
- Willingness to work in a summer camp environment

Physical Demands:

- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and carry tennis equipment
- Must be able to bend, reach, and kneel to set up and maintain tennis equipment
