The Water Coordinator is that person you see, operating the canals and pipelines that are used to deliver water to irrigators and others in our SMRID system.

We have one position available:

- Taber area

**Residency in or near Taber, Alberta is a requirement.**

**Responsibilities and Duties**

Duties include taking water orders, record keeping, and system maintenance within a specific unit of the Irrigation District. On-call status during the months of April to October is required as is working outdoors in all weather conditions and working extended hours in emergency conditions such as during adverse weather.

Pay will reflect work experience and education.

Off Water season work includes maintenance and pipeline construction.

**Qualifications and Skills**

Computer skills are a definite asset, as well as good interpersonal skills since this position requires considerable liaison with the water users.

Valid and Clean Class 5 Driver's License

Ability to withstand adverse weather conditions as this position will be out in the field.
