Behaviour Interventionist

B&S Consultants is hiring behavior therapists who are vibrant, enthusiastic, and interested in working with young children living with autism and other related developmental disabilities utilizing the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Excellent verbal and written communication, time management and organizational skills and problem-solving skills.
- Working experience with young children.
- Good listening skills.
- Maintaining a calm disposition in stressful situations.
- Driver’s license and access to reliable vehicle.
- Enthusiasm about learning and dedication to ongoing professional development.
- Clear criminal record check, with vulnerable person’s sector.
- Completed First AID with CPR or willing to complete within 4 weeks of employment.
- Adaptability to different environments and situations.
- Capacity to manage challenging behaviors.
- Willingness to work as a team with other staff members.
- Respect, kindness, and a positive attitude towards corrective feedback.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Implementation of behavior treatment programs
- Data collection and entry
- Preparation of teaching materials before the session.
- Keeping the work area clean and sanitizing teaching materials
- Provide personal care needs which includes but is not to diapering, toileting, hand washing, putting on and removal of shoes.
- Playing with the clients on their level which includes but is not limited to sitting on the floor with the child.
- Engaging with the clients based on their preferences to facilitate building a strong rapport.
- Assisting with assessments
- Consistent communication with your supervisor
- Other job related duties assigned by your supervisor

**Education**:

- Registered Behavior Technician
- Enrolled in or completed post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (education, psychology, social work etc.)
