**POSITION: PART TIME SALES ASSOCIATE**

**Position Summary**:
Join MB Country Living as a **part-time sales associate** and become an integral part of our team dedicated to delivering unparalleled customer service and maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphere. This customer-facing role places a significant focus on cultivating strong connections within the MB PetBarn community. Your responsibilities will include providing personalized assistance to customers, ensuring their needs are met with excellence. Beyond valuable learning experiences, this position offers a defined pathway for growth within our organization.

As a part-time sales associate, your primary responsibility is to immerse yourself in all aspects of our business and dedicate yourself to growth and excellence in executing all tasks. You will be a vital support for our management team and a key player in ensuring the success of our day-to-day operations.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Learning and Development:

- Foster a continuous learning mindset to understand all day-to-day operational tasks and initiatives.
- Coach and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.

Store Operations:

- Gain proficiency in the opening and closing procedures of the store.
- Set a prime example by actively engaging with customers and promoting exceptional customer service.
- Effectively manage shifts to maintain store and customer service standards.
- Develop a strong understanding of the receiving process and receiving standards.

Team Leadership:

- Learn how to lead and guide the team effectively, fostering an environment that supports management
- Actively participate in employee training, mentoring, and skill enhancement

Property and Equipment Care:

- Acquire in-depth knowledge of maintaining a safe and secure environment by overseeing the proper care and maintenance of company property and equipment within our stores

**General Requirements**:

- Strong customer service orientation and a genuine passion for serving the community
- Must have weekend availability
- Must be capable of repeatedly lifting 25kg without restriction

**Company Overview**:
**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $16.55-$19.59 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week

**Benefits**:

Day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Shift:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

Work setting:

- Specialty store

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
