**_Position Summary: _**
The Medical Radiation Technologist is a specially trained healthcare professional who works under general supervision and performs diagnostic imaging examinations utilizing ionizing radiation. The MRT’s use their expert knowledge of imaging and/or radiation equipment, together with an extensive understanding of the principles of anatomy, physiology and pathology, image acquisition, treatment and radiation protection to deliver quality care to their patients. The MRT ensures the care provided is safe, appropriate, tailored, timely, and maximizes the potential of the available equipment and resources.

**_Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities: _**
- Active member of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist (CMRITO) in good standing
- Knowledge and experience in multiple modalities an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to best practice, standards of practice, and life-long learning
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the Standards of Practice of the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario, and the Health Professionals Act
- Proven knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety
- Intermediate computer skills with experience using Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Must act as a positive advocate for the professional body of MRT ‘s and the Diagnostic Imaging Department
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, decision-making and conflict management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and physicians
- Cross sectional anatomy courses preferred.
- IV certification mandatory.

**Salary**: $33.32-$44.66 per hour
