**CBC British Columbia is looking for a new host for our weekly music program on CBC Radio One and CBC listen.**

**Your role**

Do you have experience hosting on air, or in front of an audience? Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for music of all genres? Do you enjoy connecting with others about music, and with those involved in music creation?

B.C.’s one-hour music show is looking for a dynamic and creative host, familiar with the province's diverse music scene and able to include, embrace and bridge and lean towards differences among communities and genres through intimate conversation and sharing music. In this role, you will collaborate with the Senior Producer to conceive, organize and develop the production and execution of the show, which will resonate with all kinds of people.. That work must adhere to CBC/Radio-Canada journalistic and program policies, standards and practices, and you are responsible for ensuring that this occurs. Inclusive leadership, judgement and creativity are required for this role.

You will perform a variety of tasks associated with the preparation and on-air presentation of program material, including on digital, video, mobile and social streams.

**Please note this is a part-time (1 day per week) position.**

Your primary responsibilities will be to craft engaging scripts, interview artists from a variety of backgrounds and to help disseminate original content and promotional tracks to other BC regional shows and platforms.

- You are creative and flexible with the ability to generate original and innovative material.
- You have a demonstrated talent as a programmer with an ear for pacing, tone, presentation and production.
- Sense of humour is an asset.
