Drafting Technician

MOBIA is currently seeking a Drafting Technician to join our team, as a drafter you will be an integral part of a customer focused team, working with CAD and other systems to draft telecommunications plans.

We are hiring in Windsor, ON.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare CAD drawings from concept to final design, drawn to scale.
- Import AutoCAD, TIF or other file formats and hard copy maps to create electronic base maps.
- Follow drawing standard procedures as set out by our customers.
- Meet quality standards as outlined.
- Meet scheduled deadlines.
- Communicate updates with project manager / project coordinator.
- Update as-built records / drawings from field.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills / Qualifications**:

- Must be Proficient with AutoCAD Version 2016 or higher.
- Experience reading / producing CAD drawing / work plans.
- Experience in a telecommunications environment is an asset.
- Post-Secondary Education Civil Engineering Technician, Architectural program is preferred.
- Self-starter with high attention to detail.
- Excellent time management, ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to interface with other departments.
- Proactive problem solver with strong listening skills.
