The HSE Coordinator is responsible for developing the Weaver Group Limited safety culture by implementing, monitoring and reporting all aspects of organizational compliance / non-compliance with OHS regulations, client and environmental standards. The HSE Coordinator is committed to upholding and promoting the strict standards of WGL’s safety excellence.

**POSITION DETAILS**
- Permanent, full-time.
- Typically Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, however, job demands and workload may require additional hours over and above.
- This position will work between both the field and office and will report directly to the management team.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with reliable vehicle required. Frequent travel will be required.
- Position start date, as soon as possible.

**RESPONSIBILITES**
- Develop, implement and maintain HSE programs and procedures specific to pipeline operations.
- Conduct HSE training sessions for employees and contractors involved in pipeline operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential HSE risks associated with pipeline activities.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Assist with site safety plans, pre-job hazard assessments, incident investigations and risk assessments, as required.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, OHS regulations, and emerging trends related to pipeline HSE.

**KEY TASKS**:

- Conduct regular inspections and audits of pipeline facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Monitor health and safety compliance of new hires, current workers, and sub-contractors - including contractor proof of training/certification and contractor equipment maintenance.
- Develop, update and distribute HSE resources including: Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA), Log Books, Safety Meeting Books, Truck & Equipment Inspection.
- Plan and facilitate health and safety toolbox meetings.
- Develop and facilitate site Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) and emergency response drills.
- Maintain records of relevant safety statistics to be communicated with WGL management team, and monitor safety statistics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare required reporting in a timely manner.
- Review and sign off on all incident investigations, ensuring that non-compliance conditions, root causes, and corrective actions have been identified and corrected.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
- Develop employee / contractor safety incentive program.
- Chair the Safe Work Practice Committee and maintain the process for development of required.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pipeline health, safety, and environmental management.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant safety regulations and environmental standards for pipeline, facility and civil operations.

**Competencies**:

- Knowledge of Pipeline / Facility HSE codes and practices required.
- Training, facilitation and presentation skills are required.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all Federal and Provincial rules and regulations pertaining to safety codes and Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) rules.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing technical manuals, specifications, and work procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and manage risks.
- Proven time management skills; ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Excellent coordination and organization skills.
- Keen attention to detail.

**Certification / Education / Training**:

- National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation required.
- Canadian Registered Safety Profession (CRSP) designation preferred.
- .Valid CSO, First Aid and H2S certificates.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
