The SMUS maintenance team is seeking extra help this spring and summer with a variety of projects. Normal hours of work would fall between Monday-Friday, from 8:00 to 4:00 pm. You will be required to work both indoors and outdoors.

**The Position**:
Working as a member of the Maintenance team, this position will be responsible for assisting with general maintenance and repairs. The team maintains the buildings and grounds at our Victoria Avenue and Richmond Road campuses.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and responsibility while working with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work in and promote a team approach and environment.
- Sufficient physical strength and stamina to perform the responsibilities of the position.
- Valid B.C. Drivers License (Class 5) is preferred.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Basic demolition work, lifting of wood, metals and other materials.
- Furniture moving, lifting of boxes and materials, mixing cementitious materials, and other materials.
- Cleaning of work areas, equipment and tools.
- Ability to operate power and hand tools as needed.
- Adhering to safety standards.
- Assisting in set ups and take downs of tables and chairs, supplies and equipment for school events.
- Other duties as required.

**Criminal Record Check**:
Must pass and maintain a clear Solicitor General criminal record check for the purpose of working with children.
