Laboratory Analyst

**Job Posting - OES Instrument Operator**

Education Required:
B.Sc. or 2-year Technician/ 3-year Technology Diploma in Chemistry or any scientific/engineering discipline

**Responsibilities**:
The following responsibilities may include some or all of the following or any other tasks assigned directly or indirectly by the Geochemistry Instrumentation Manager.
- Preparation of samples for OES analysis
- Daily set-up, operation and trouble shooting of OES
- Prepare solutions for calibration of OES
- Maintenance of logs
- Instrument and equipment maintenance as required
- Disposal of analyzed samples and instrument waste
- Updating status in LIMS/Support Site for work orders being analyzed
- General laboratory housekeeping
- Assist in ensuring turnaround time meets clients and General Manager’s requirements of two weeks of receipt by working overtime when required

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
