Youth Leader

We're looking for one or two Jo(e) Youth Creative Coaches, to start in January 2023.

The Job:
Mentorship of kids playing video games, making YouTube videos, creating TikToks, making art, and playing IRL games like hide and seek or IRL Among Us.

Maintaining devices and ensuring the club space is clean before and after shifts.

Meeting kids where they're at, after a long day at school. This requires patience, compassion, empathy, and a positive attitude

Details:
You need to be between 15 and 24 years old

If under 18, you'll always be paired with a senior coach

You need to maintain a positive social media presence. This includes Direct Messages and Snaps

Training is on-the-job because of the relational nature of the job

Approximately 10 hours a week, with more during school breaks if you want them

$15/hour

Shift times are between 4 pm and 8 pm on weekdays, and between 10 am and 11 pm on Saturdays. School holiday shifts are between 8:15 am and 4:30 pm

You'll have to learn how to use Facebook Workplace, because you'll be working for old people and that's how we communicate as a team. But we'll teach you that.

This is not a job where you boss kids around. It's a job where you listen to what kids need and help them. Our motto is By Kids, With Kids, For Kids, which is why we need YOU

This job is best suited for youth who have experienced bullying, anxiety, not really fitting in, but have confidence in who they are now and an ability to relay that confidence. Bonus points if you can teach a kid how to stream on Twitch, or run a Discord server. You'll be required to play.
