**Title**: Yard Person
**Location**: Edmonton, AB
**Position Type**: Permanent Full Time / Seasonal
**Reporting To**: Dispatch / Dispatch Supervisor

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Responsible for all yard operations, safety and housekeeping
- Load/ Unload materials in a safe and timely manner
- Conduct daily perimeter check of property
- Assist with proper tie-down of materials being transported
- Preparation of materials designated for field
- Assist with maintaining shop areas
- Inventory control
- Relocating parts/materials for best organization
- Record keeping of materials being delivered/returned
- Responsible for all aspects of snow removal (including snow clearing, shoveling, sand/salting)
- Weed whacking and garbage pick up
- Perform daily equipment inspection(s)
- Operation of hand and air tools
- Daily paperwork
- Assisting other departments

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Class 5 driving license with clean driver’s abstract
- Physically capable and able to lift 50+ lbs.
- Water & sewer experience required
- Heavy Equipment parts knowledge will be considered an asset
- Ability to operate skid steer / forklift / loader
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Fit to work outside in all weather conditions
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and overtime
