**Position Description Summary**

Reporting to the Loss Prevention Supervisor, the Loss Prevention Coordinator will use their strong detection and investigation skills to reduce shrink and ensure a safe environment for our employees and customer. Loss Prevention Coordinator has the opportunity to work in a fast paced and exciting logistics environment, partnering closely with the facility Operation Managers and Operation Supervisors to ensure Loss Prevention awareness is on the minds of everyone.

**Principal Accountabilities**
- Work proactively with all personnel to create and maintain an effective loss prevention culture.
- Detect and apprehend persons committing criminal acts on or in relation to company property.
- Conduct floor surveillance in order to detect and apprehend those persons involved in external and internal theft.
- Identify high risk areas that are vulnerable to external theft.
- Participate actively in monthly Safety meetings and inspections.
- Conduct investigations into any incident on company property and respond to all emergency situations.
- Maintain physical security of building (alarm system, locks, key control, etc.).
- Perform regular audits of process and paperwork in those areas determined to be potential high loss areas.
- Maintain and coordinate accurate records of all Loss Prevention activity in the facility.
- Ensure that all current safety procedures and policies are followed.
- Other assigned duties and project work.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Self-motivated, able to perform well under pressure.
- Ability to work well with other employees, and communicate clearly
- Adherence to all safety rules and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Post-secondary education in a safety related field with 5 years’ experience in Loss Prevention.
- Complete understanding of Health/Safety/Loss Prevention legislative requirements and standards.
- Meeting the requirements for the Canadian Registered Safety Professional designation is a definite.
- A good sense of priorities, are organized and a good team spirit
- Good computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Standard First Aid, TDG and WHMIS
- Valid Driver’s License
