**Tasks**:
- Appraise and acquire archival materials
- Develop and maintain archival collection
- Authenticate historical documents and records
- Research the origins and historical significance of archival materials
- Assist users in accessing archival materials
- Design programs for managing, disseminating and storing archives of all types
- Develop policies and procedures to manage corporate cataloguing systems, records scheduling and disposal, and finding aids
- Organize noncurrent archives and develop cataloguing and retrieval systems to allow access to archival materials
- Plan the computerized management of archives and the management of electronic archives
