The Agro Clerk I is responsible for providing an exceptional level of customer service and maintaining a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards. This includes completing general housekeeping duties, processing payments, ensuring the sales team is supported, performing administrative functions, and any other duties as assigned.
In this role you will be responsible for (but not limited to);
- Providing information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all customers. This includes responding to general inquiries in a manner which promotes and assists the sale of goods and meets the needs and requirements of the customer.
- Order, inspect and receive all goods to ensure the quality and completeness of the order, as directed by the Agro Manager, including office supplies. Ensure receiving book is accurate, all charges are applied to the total cost, and purchase invoices are linked with the appropriate PO. Responsible for processing all inventory transfers, and monitoring product recalls. Ensure permits are pulled for oversize loads and customers for seed.
- Process customer orders, charge account payments, invoices, and purchases to meet established service standards and company policies using the point-of-sale terminal or FCC payments. Complete daily cash reconciliations, including deposit slips and bank deposits. Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Process daily payable invoices, input sales orders, and prepare period-end and year-end cut-offs, in an accurate and timely manner. Complete all reporting required, including submitting reports third-party vendors.
- Register products with suppliers when sold to customers and manage all returns, including seed returns. Responsible for FCC account administration as required, including new accounts, credit limits, and payment deadlines.
- Performs general housekeeping duties (spills, dusting, ordering utility services, etc.) to ensure all areas of responsibility are safe, organized, clean, and tidy. Responsible for keeping general areas and storage areas clean and free of clutter and debris. Assist with regular clean-up duties to maintain an efficient, safe, and clean location. Ensure all tools and equipment required to complete assigned duties are well maintained and safe to use.
This role will report to the Agro Manager - Camrose and Tofield.
