Gymnastics Instructor

Hapkido Kids Inc. is seeking part-time Recreational Gymnastics Instructors to teach children in Elliot Lake and Blind River, Ontario starting in **January 2024**. The focus of our planned recreational gymnastic program is for kids aged 5-12 to have fun, develop fitness, and acquire fundamental gymnastics skills.
- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Teach and guide gymnastics classes to students of various age groups and skill levels
- Introduce students to tumbling as well as artistic events including but not limited to bars, beam, floor, and vault
- Develop and implement lesson plans that focus on skill progression and safety
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students to enhance their learning experience
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all participants
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize events and performances
- **Required Skills and Qualifications**:_
- Prior experience in gymnastics coaching or instruction
- Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques and terminology
- Driver’s license and own vehicle preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate skills to students
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Current certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) / Criminal Record Check
- **Hours**:_
- Tentative Weeknight in Elliot Lake: Tuesday Evenings from 5:30-8:30pm
- Tentative Weeknight in Blind River: Sunday Evenings from 5:30-8:30pm

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 6 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
