Defined Designs is seeking a master fabricator/builder, with a highly trained eye for quality, and the creative ability to design builds that often have never been done before. In this position, you’ll be exposed to the some of the most exciting brands and companies from around the globe, as well as have opportunity to lead a team to explore innovative and creative ways to bring builds to life. You will be working closely with management to help support our company’s vision of delivering assets of the highest quality to our customers and clients.

**Qualifications /Requirements**:

- High school diploma or a GED equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in production and custom fabrication environment.
- 1-2 years’ experience as a manufacturing or production lead or supervisor
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and processes.
- Understanding of construction tasks and industrial processes.
- Excellent color vision and hand dexterity.
- Ability to operate equipment and power tools, including arc welding and gas welding equipment, grinders, sanders, lathes, and saws.
- Understand basic math and fractions to read tape measure, rules, etc. to 1/32’s.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, complete tasks and stand for extended periods of time.
- Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking.
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds or more.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, execute, facilitate, and finalize fabrication, Brand Activation, Tradeshow, and specialized manufacturing and assembly projects according to a custom scope of works and associated deadlines.
- Ensure that the daily production schedule is adhered to, and all daily objectives are met.
- Consulting and reading blueprints, schematics, and drawings to create products to required specifications.
- Assist, mentor, and coach our Jr. Department members.
- Able to foresee and flag concerns through the build of a project.
- Work with all different types of materials (wood, metal, plastic etc.)
- Assist in project planning and coordination to ensure project objectives are met (on time, fully functional, of high quality)
- Communicate with management and fellow staff regarding any project concerns, project status, and possible solutions.
- Review provided renderings or drawings and suggest/recommend alternative build techniques that could improve efficiency and quality of product.
- Work independently and/or with a team.

**Experience**:

- Fabrication: 3 years (preferred)
- Custom build work on vehicles or movie/television sets (would be an asset)
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.
- 1-2 years’ experience as a manufacturing or production lead or supervisor

**Salary**: From $22.00 per hour
