We're seeking a professional Optical Assistant to assist our optical associates with patients and act as a liaison between the optical department and our customers. The Optical Assistant will be responsible for working with opticians by providing assistance, stocking inventory and performing administrative work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Verify the prescription has been entered correctly.
- Accurately verify lens prescriptions from patients.
- Collect the appropriate measurements.
- Measure the eyes and record the results.
- Communicate with patients and provide customer service.
- Be aware of any upcoming deadlines.
- Coordinate with laboratories in a timely fashion.

**Salary**: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Day range:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Shift:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
