Due to ongoing growth, we are currently looking for a Machinist to work in our St. Mary's, Ontario shop.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials on machines such as mills and lathes.
- Operate equipment to support various producing units such as power saws, manual lathes, milling machines, drills, grinders and shapers.
- Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.
- Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
- Ensures that all parts produced meet the quality required by the drawings and specifications supplied.
- Produces all required parts to meet the established production schedules.
- Confers with the designers, production personnel or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.

**KEY QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be able to manufacture parts on conventional mills or lathes.
- Apprentice or Journeyman an asset.
- Set -up and operate a CNC. Programming a CNC is an asset. If not, must be willing to learn.
- Must be able to read standard vernier calipers and micrometers in both Imperial and Metric systems.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Experience machining Stainless steel, Titanium and UHMW.
- Good work ethic and attitude.
- Agility to multi-task.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent attendance.

- We offer permanent full-time, year-round employment, working Mon-Fri, day shift only.
