**Position Overview**
The Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, UECI and Framatome. SGRT is a part of the Major Component Replacement project and includes the removal of the eight steam generators at Unit 6, 3, 4 and the installation of replacement steam generators with related plant modifications. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064. In addition to the existing contracts for Unit 3 and Unit 4, SGRT has signed a long-term Preferred Supplier Agreement for steam generator replacements at the plant’s remaining units as part of the Bruce Major Component Replacement project.

The Hoisting and Rigging Specialist reports to the advising Superintendent and is a highly safety focused individual. The Rigging Specialist is responsible for performing various assessments and construction-related liaison for the workforce during the critical lifts.

**What You'll Do Here**:

- Ensuring compliance with project and client policies and procedures.
- Communicating with the rigging and construction team.
- Overseeing and monitoring the following activities being completed by others:

- Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved.
- Selecting the appropriate rigging gear.
- Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts.
- Inspecting rigging before final use.
- Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment.
- Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections.
- Other duties as required.

**What You Will Bring to the Team**:

- Minimum 10+ years of work in the construction industry to understand the complexity of rigging and hoisting.
- Additional certification in Rigging and Hoisting.
- Advanced Rigger qualification considered an asset.
- Experience working in a unionized environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of project schedules.
- A team player that accepts and can manage change regularly.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
