Summer Camp Supervisor

Maintain a clean, safe and organized facility. All personnel are responsible for ensuring each area is clean, sanitized and free of clutter.
- Aid in creating and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Promote the TCAG in a positive manner while promoting the camp program.
- Serve as an ambassador for the TCAG within operations and in the community at large.
- Adhere to the TCAG written policies and procedures.
- Lead planning and implementation of weekly programs along with training sessions and staff meetings.
- Assist with supply shopping prior to the start of the camp program.
- Assist with interviews and hiring of camp counsellors.
- Responsible for the group binders in their age group and updating on a weekly basis.
- Responsible for regular social media postings. (minimum of 2 per week)
- Use his/her best efforts to maintain the high standards of programming at the TCAG and will conduct themselves respectfully and professionally with participants, staff and parents.
- Lead in a positive and professional manner, mentor to counsellors.
- Deliver a positive and exceptional camp experience for the day camp staff as a role model.
- Oversee counsellors in their age group, main point of contact for any issues and for parents at drop off/pick up.
- Provide feedback to Camp Director regarding performance of counsellors.
- Prepare the weekly program plans along with a detailed list of supplies for the upcoming week and communicate to their counsellors. Throughout camp, monitor supplies and provide a list to the Camp Director when necessary.
- Provide a structured before and after care program.
- Actively lead and participate in all games and activities.
- Follow pool protocol and be in the water at all times according to the ratios as instructed by the pool supervisor.
- Supervision of campers at all times in all areas including bathroom, change rooms, at the pool and offsite day trips.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all campers, volunteers and co-workers at all times.
- Acknowledges Behavior Management Procedures have been reviewed, as has TCAG’S emergency protocols and that they are followed throughout the duration of summer camp.
- Ensure consistency in all areas of the camp program with staff, parents and participants.
- Supervise and lead day camp staff, available as support when required.
- Responsible for the sign in/out of all campers each day.
- Responsible for lunch breaks of counsellors.
- Manage camp behaviours/injuries as needed (escalate to Camp Director as necessary).
- Assist the Camp Director as needed.
- Attend all scheduled training and meeting sessions as scheduled.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: From $19.83 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week

**Experience**:
- working with youth: 1 year (preferred)
- day camp: 1 year (required)
