**Reports to**: Bottle Stop Manager or Bottle Stop Supervisor

**Basic Function**:
The primary purpose of the position is to provide an adequate level of inventory expertise and selection knowledge in a fast-paced work operation. Working as part of a team, the Bottle Stop Clerk will have a direct impact on the general success of both The Bottle Stop and Canad Inns. The Bottle Stop Clerk will maintain an atmosphere and service that are conductive to guest satisfaction, ensuring future returns.

**Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Accept all empties;
- Answer all guest inquiries in a friendly and polite manner;
- Assist with beer permit deliveries;
- Complete all shift duties as outlined on the shift checklist;
- Ensure store cleanliness and appearances throughout the shift;
- Maintain inventory levels;
- Perform purchase transactions and cashier duties;
- Process all guest payments, deposits and balance daily receipts accurately;
- Receive deliveries and sign for accuracy.

**Competencies**:

- Able to work days, evenings and/or weekends;
- Articulately communicates both verbally and in writing;
- Can acquire Criminal Background Check and Smart Choices & Forklift Handler certificates;
- Clean with good hygiene habits;
- Enjoys meeting and speaking with a variety of people;
- Extroverted personality;
- General knowledge of products and merchandise;
- Good disposition;
- Multi-tasks efficiently;
- Organized, accurate and reliable;
- Positive attitude;
- Recognizes and resolves problems quickly and efficiently;
- Strong mathematics and basic computer skills;
- Willing to learn and take orders and direction.
