Graphic Artist

**Job Summary**:
As the Graphic Artist specializing in design, banners, and vinyls, you will play a pivotal role in translating concepts into visually stunning graphics. At Glow the Event Store, we specialize in producing banners, signage, and other promotional materials that make a lasting impact. You will be responsible for overseeing the production of banners, signage, and other printed materials from start to finish. From managing printing equipment to ensuring the accuracy and quality of finished products, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional results for our clients. You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to understand their needs and deliver exceptional designs that effectively communicate their message. **Responsibilities**:

- Production Management: Coordinate and oversee the production of banners, signage, and other printed materials according to client specifications and deadlines.
- Printing Operations: Operate printing equipment, including large format printers, cutters, and laminators, to produce high-quality graphics and signage.
- Finishing and Assembly: Trim, laminate, and assemble printed materials as needed to prepare them for installation or delivery.
- Installation Support: Assist with on-site installation of vinyl, signage, banners at client locations as required, ensuring proper placement and alignment.
- Graphic Design: Create original designs for various in-house marketing materials including banners, posters, signage, and vinyl graphics.
- Artwork Production: Prepare print-ready artwork files ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Digital Rendering: Utilize design software (Adobe, photo shop, etc.) to develop digital renderings and mock-ups for client approval when required.
- Quality Assurance: Review designs for errors, inconsistencies, and quality issues to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards.
- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Industry Trends: Stay informed about design trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve skills and capabilities.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with design, sales and operations teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project requirements.
- Client Interaction: Interact with clients as needed to address questions, provide updates on project status, and ensure satisfaction with finished products.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working in a printing or signage production environment, with knowledge of large format printing techniques and equipment.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for aesthetics and design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in operating printing equipment such as wide-format printers, plotters, and laminators.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to printing and production operations.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to occasionally travel for on-site installations, with a few weekends.
- Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work, including banners, signage, and vinyl graphics.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Graphic design: 1 year (preferred)
- printing and producing signage and banners: 1 year (preferred)
- vinyl installation: 1 year (preferred)
