DXP | HSE Integrated is currently seeking two (2) Respirator Equipment Technicians (day and night shifts) for a shutdown in **Point Aconi, Nova Scotia** commencing late **August 2023 for 4-6 weeks**. We are looking for people with great attitude, who can excel under pressure to ensure a safe work environment for our clients and employees

The Respirator Equipment Technician is responsible for inspecting, cleaning, disinfecting, and repairing of respirators and the safety and maintenance of the facility, client and company property. Reporting directly to the Project/Branch Manager.

Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 8-12 hours per day, with some Saturdays and Sundays. Training, travel, and accommodations will be provided.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Report regular to the Project/Branch Manager for ongoing activities and work progress reports
- Inspect and log incoming respirators as per HSE procedures and manufacturer’s instructions
- Clean incoming client respirators as per HSE procedures and manufacturer’s instructions
- Repair respirators as needed as per HSE procedures and manufacturer’s instructions
- Be available for job-specific and site-specific training
- Keep the work area tidy, organized, clean and disinfected at all times
- Assist the second Technician and other HSE staff as required
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project/Branch Manager
- Conduct daily, post-shift security check of facility, vehicles, and company/client property
- Notify Project/Branch Manager of status of facility, equipment, materials, supplies, etc

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma
- Valid, unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract
- Physically fit to work
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to work independently
- Current Basic/Emergency First Aid training is an asset
- Strong problem solving, interpersonal & organizational skills
- Ability to function effectively as a part of a team
- Previous experience with respiratory protective equipment an asset
