**Job Summary**:
We have an exciting opportunity for Psychometrists to join Kinark's Autism Services to provide assessments of children and youth with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. Psychometrists will work under the supervision of a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario and/or the Clinical Director of Autism Services, and will be expected to adhere to the regulations and standards of psychology.
Kinark has introduced a benefit that gives employees in eligible roles the opportunity to work partially or fully remote if they choose to opt-in for this benefit. **This role (Psychometrist) is assessed as a Resident position requiring a few days in the office (4 days per week) unless business demands require. This position is also eligible for compressed work week.**
You may be scheduled to work evenings, weekends, split shifts, or shorter shifts of less than 7 hours per day. You will be required to work out of other Kinark sites from time to time based on operational needs. As well, you may be assigned to work in different programs and services within the Autism division of Kinark and your primary work location may be reassigned within a 50 kilometer radius based on operational needs.
**Duties & Responsibilities include**:
- Provide a wide range of psychometric assessment services to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families, including selection, administration, scoring and interpretation of standardized and non-standardized instruments, as well as perceptive behavioural and/or test setting observations.
- Maintain current knowledge about standardized and evidence-based assessment instruments.
- Participate in training, intervention and/or research initiatives.
**Qualifications**:
- Master’s Degree in Psychology or equivalent.**:
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in conducting standardized assessments of children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental and/or behavioural challenges.
- _Consideration may be given to applicants who have a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent combination of training and experience._
- Experience and skill in clinical report writing, consultation, and communicating feedback to children, youth and families.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data management and record keeping.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal), analytical, critical thinking, organizational and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including a Vulnerable Sector Screening) and Pre-Employment Medical.
