**Your New Role and Team**
Our Hardware Engineering team is looking to hire an Electronics Technician. Reporting to the Embedded Systems Team Lead, you’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of the embedded systems that power and control our general-purpose robots.

Our Success Criteria*
- Bring hands-on experience in rework and PCB repair (component troubleshooting, component replacements, PCB trace cuts, and jumper installation)
- Gain career experience as you assemble electronics and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in a prototype and production environment for general purpose robots
- Achieve team-wide visibility as you work with other team members to maintain electronics lab operations - procure components for assembly, rework/lab supplies, monitor inventory, lead times, and product order information
- Expand your technical experience as you learn to assemble a variety of hybrid mechanical/electronic assemblies and wire assemblies
- Tap into your leadership skills as you document, communicate, and collaborate on improving our embedded systems and overall processes

Your Experience*

**Qualifications**:

- Associates Degree in Electronics and/or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience soldering various types of IC packages such as BGA, CSP, CBGA, LGA, MLF, PGA, QFN, QFP, and SOIC
- Previous experience with SMT/TH or Mix Tech assembly (hand soldering, inspection, rework, mechanical assembly skills); Soldering TH and SMT components; Set-up, maintenance, and calibration of test stations
- Have a high comfort level in handling and placing surface mount components (micro components)
- Be comfortable soldering and performing general work under a microscope

- Ability to read and understand assembly documentation and wiring diagrams
- Ability to read and carefully follow mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and instructions
- Proficient computer skills and able to run diagnostic software and test scripts
- Ability to understand and modify Python, TCL, and shell scripts
- Aptitude for building simple jigs and fixtures to support production and testing of electronic sensors
