**Job Summary**:
**The Face Station**, Toronto’s premier outlet for professional makeup artists in the entertainment industries, is seeking a **Retail Sales Associate **to provide superior service to customers and to assist with activities relating to CMU College of Makeup Art and Design, one of the world’s top training institutions for aspiring makeup artists.

We are looking for a makeup artist with a strong retail sales background who is passionate about the makeup industry.

**Key duties**

**Customer Service**
- Provide courteous, knowledgeable service to customers.
- Determine client needs and suggest appropriate products.
- Answer questions about specific products.

**Product**
- Purchase assigned store items through purchase orders.
- Conduct an end-of-day review of products sold and replenish shelves and drawers.
- Accept deliveries; and unpack and restock supplies.
- Continually monitor to ensure store cleanliness and maintain testers.

**Payment system**
- Balance and cross-check the float with the previous day’s cash sales.
- Open and close the credit / debit terminal.
- Process Lightspeed point-of-sales (POS) transactions.
- Manage customer / company accounts.
- Assist with inventory management.

**Events**
- Assist with private and public events.
- Provide makeup demonstrations at key events.

**CMU support**
- Act as the main reception for in-person campus visits, phone calls and deliveries.
- Welcome guests, and on occasion, provide campus tours to prospective students and their families.
- Maintain and update job board for CMU College graduates.
- File and organize The Face Station and CMU College documents at the store.

**Qualifications for the role**
- At least one year of retail customer service and sales in the makeup industry.
- Strong entrepreneurial skills to identify new business opportunities.
- Strong communication skills to speak confidently with customers and suppliers.
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

**Salary**: $36,000.00-$42,000.00 per year
