This is an exciting opportunity for an innovative and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join the Ambulatory Care team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborates and consults with a multidisciplinary autism diagnostic assessment team using a client and family-centered approach
- Selects and uses standardized and non-standardized assessment tools and outcome measures as appropriate. Standardized assessment materials may include language assessment tools as well as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2)
- Provides screening, assessment, consultation, and counselling with children with language and social communication concerns and their families
- Discusses assessment needs and goals with clients and families and adapts approach to their changing needs
- Makes referrals to other services and agencies as appropriate
- Maintains accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with Holland Bloorview and CASLPO guidelines
- Maintains familiarity with current literature and implements an evidence-based approach to care
- Participates in regular professional development to further refine clinical practice, and to ensure equitable and efficient service delivery for clients and families
- Shares new knowledge and best practices with colleagues, students and other professionals within the organization, professional body and community
- Provides supervision, mentoring, clinical education, and support for speech-language pathology students
- Participates in quality improvement activities to ensure the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
- Experience with providing assessment, consultation, and intervention with clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Related clinical pediatric experience
- Training in autism assessment (e.g. ADOS) or interest in receiving training
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, families and members of a multidisciplinary care team
- Demonstrated flexibility in dealing with change
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
