**In this role, you will**:

- Develop new products in accordance to current trends along with North American and International regulation
- Improve existing products by reviewing formulas, updating Bill of Materials (BOM) and conducting benchtop/pilot trials in a cost-effective and efficient manner
- Document all pertinent technical information, laboratory trials and observations in project workbooks to provide historical support for future pilot scale-ups
- Oversee the manufacture of pilot batch and the first 3 productions batches of a new product if necessary
- Conduct experimental trials to support product troubleshooting or reprocessing across multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Prepare costing of potential/new projects as requested by New Business Development and Marketing Departments
- Communicate, support and interact with personnel from various departments on project-related issues

**You have**:

- Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Nutrition, or Pharmacy or equivalent experience.
- Preferably 2 - 3 years progressive experience in Formulation and/or production environment in a pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and expertise in the use of pilot and production equipment
- Strong oral and written communication skills - technical report writing skills required.
- Knowledge of GMP Guidelines and NHP Regulations
