As a vital member of the ITAM Operations team, the IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst will oversee, contribute, and manage all IT Asset Management activities, including Software Asset Management (SAM) And Hardware Asset Management (HAM) components. You will play a pivotal role in revising and implementing best practices to reduce life cycle cost, risk, reporting, and supporting audit controls for all IT hardware and software within our various environments.

You will carry out data analysis to enable us to assure quality, compliance, and accuracy of ITAM data, and will contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality Asset, Configuration and License Management Service that ensures that all service level targets are achieved or surpassed. This will include the ability to Implement and maintain asset lifecycle information, including status, for technology-based hardware and software assets to Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.

Overall, this is an encompassing role across a wide spectrum of ITAM activities, where teamwork, problem solving, innovation, in office collaboration, and communication is highly relevant and pivotal to the success of the role.

The role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our IT assets, contributing to the organization's overall success.

What you'll do:
- Day-to-day running of and verification of all Configuration and Asset Management operational processes- Reviewing the Asset and Configuration Management processes on a regular basis for efficiency and effectiveness ensuring any agreed changes to the processes are properly approved / communicated.- Monitoring the population of the configuration management database.- Making sure that assets are uniquely identified according to naming conventions and ensuring that all IT personnel align with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases, and templates.- Data Analysis and Reporting: Provide in-depth data analysis and reports to effectively communicate with both the IT team and business partners.- Management of Software Licenses and Agreements: Maintain oversight of software licenses, warranties, support agreements, vendor contracts, and maintenance agreements.- Developing and maintaining the configuration management process in collaboration with your other IT business partners.- Regular Audits: Organize and implement routine audits using ITAM tools and system automations to proactively identify asset-related risks and propose solutions.- Contribution to establishing, enhancing, and refining ITAM Policies and Governance procedures.- Alignment / contribution toward the implementation / communication of configuration management plans, processes, and standards.- Alignment / contribution toward the implementation and communication of the service asset management policy and standards.- Other duties or tasks as assigned.

- Self-Motivated and Ethical: Self-motivated individuals with a robust work ethic are preferred.- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.- Microsoft Environment Proficiency: Comfort and competence in working within a Microsoft-based environment.- Customer-Centric Approach: Outstanding communication skills, strong customer-centric outlook with the ability to work in a diverse and inclusive workplace, and the ability to work as part of a well-rounded team.- Relevant Experience: You should have prior experience in a comparable role and be capable of showcasing your achievements in the day-to-day operations of and contribution towards establishing and integrating new IT Asset Management (ITAM) programs within organizations.- Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Asset Management and Software Compliance, in-depth knowledge of these areas.- ITAM Tool Administration: Experience / managing tools effectively (Flexera, Tanium, DDMI, Assyst CMDB, SNOW, Service Now)- MS Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint - Medium to advanced skills to allow for productive output in the role.- Data Analysis and Reporting: Proficiency in data analysis and the creation of comprehensive reports.- MS Excel - Advanced skillset in Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot, Advanced Formulas and functions, Pivoting, reporting, charting) ability to manage, collate, configure large datasets into concise, actionable reports for business planning and execution.
