Description: The Diagnostic Sonographer I performs standardized and complex ultrasound procedures for the diagnosis and tracking of disease and pathology. The Diagnostic Sonographer produces images of high diagnostic quality in an efficient and safe manner while attending to the diagnostic and care needs of patients undergoing procedures. The Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

**Required Qualifications**:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or recognized equivalent required. Registration with Sonography Canada (CRS) is required.

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Trained in general, cardiac and vascular ultrasound. Self-motivated with strong organization skills. Must possess high degree of confidentiality. Able to work under pressure in emergency situations. Able to assess patient capabilities and limitations and make adjustments in procedures when necessary.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Experience with Connect Care. Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
