Junior Carpenter

**Responsibilities**
- Performs skilled carpentry work in the maintenance, repair, alteration and construction of buildings, facilities, structures and equipment.
- Reads and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and to calculate requirements.
- Measures, cuts, shapes, assembles and joins materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Ensures compliance with building codes, health and safety legislation, and standards.
- Works to schedule timely task-completion.
- Maintains vehicle and materials used on job sites.
- Maintains daily job site house-keeping.
- Repairs and maintains tools

- High attention to detail in completion of all jobs.
- Ability to read plans, diagrams, blueprints, sketches, specifications, and working drawings of construction jobs.
- Ability to work to schedule, and on-time delivery.
- Ability to collaborate appropriately with build
- team members and management.
- Ability to act with integrity, credibility, self confidence, and work independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with clients and KLC team members in a professional manner.
- Comfortable working at heights.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 4000 hours of residential construction experience.
- Knowledge of carpentry
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act, and Construction regulations.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code & appropriate standards.
- Knowledge of safe operation of basic hand and power tools.
- Must have valid G-License with a clean driving record.
- Must purchase basic hand and power tools.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week
