**Music Instructor Job Summary**
Music Instructors at Oak Learners provide weekly music lessons to individuals and/or groups of students in the disciplines of Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Drums & Percussion,
Early Music Education, Vocal Music, Music Composition & More. Music Instructors are part-time employees at Oak Learners and work with other members of the Music
Department to design and deliver engaging and individualized music lessons.

**Main Duties**:

- Guide and foster students in private Music instruction
- Provide an exciting and enriching music education experience
- Include technique coaching for Intermediate & Advanced Students
- Prepare students for winter/spring performances
- Maintain regular communication with parents about their child’s progress through Lesson Reflections and in-person feedback
- Help students develop self-confidence through musical development and performance

**Preferred Experience/Skills**:

- Degree or Diploma in Music or related field
- Experience working with young students and/or students with different learning styles
- Previous experience in private music instruction (min. 1 year)
- Multi-instrumentalist (an asset)
- Performance Background preferred
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with parents and staff

- Ability to work with people from various disciplines and cultures
- Ability to problem solve
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to assume responsibility, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
