**Job Title: Assistant Dispatcher (Central Refrigeration & Heating LTD)**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Schedule Coordination**: Assist in coordinating schedules for HVAC-R technicians, ensuring timely responses to service calls, installations, and maintenance appointments.
- **Dispatching**: Dispatch technicians to service calls and installations, taking into account technician availability, location, and expertise along with the prioritization level of the requested service.
- **Communication**: Maintain regular communication with technicians to provide them with necessary information and updates regarding assignments, customer details, and any changes in schedules.
- **Customer Service**: Respond to customer inquiries, schedule service appointments, and provide assistance as needed to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including work orders, service tickets, and technician logs.
- **Problem Solving**: Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the dispatch process, such as scheduling conflicts, equipment availability, or customer concerns.
- **Route Optimization**: Collaborate with dispatching team to optimize technician routes, minimize travel time, and maximize efficiency in service delivery.
- **Support**: Provide administrative support to the dispatching team, including data entry, filing, and other clerical tasks as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- **Previous Experience**: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dispatching role within a plumbing or HVAC-R company is considered an asset for consideration of this position.
- **Industry Knowledge**: Strong understanding of HVAC-R systems, plumbing systems, and related equipment, as well as familiarity with industry best practices and standards.
- **Organizational Skills**: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively. Strong ability to address the needs of customers in a friendly, positive, helpful and non-combative manner.
- **Problem-Solving Abilities**: Resourceful and adaptable, with the ability to think quickly and find solutions to unexpected challenges.
- **Attention to Detail**: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and customer information.
- **Customer Focus**: Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to providing exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with HVAC-R or plumbing dispatching software is preferred.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and permit requirements.
- Certification or training in HVAC-R or plumbing systems will be considered an asset.
