We started in the Mining sector in 2003 and have since expanded into Construction, Waste, Transportation, and Energy. We’re known for our ability to design, build and deliver innovative electric, hybrid, and diesel-powered heavy equipment for various sectors such as mining, drilling, transportation, and energy, including clients such as Vale, Torex and HydroOne. Medatech is currently hiring for a variety of roles, including **Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Hydraulic & Fluid Systems Designer, Junior Controls Designer, and Electrical Assembly Technician**. - **Mechanical Engineer - Key Responsibilities**:_
- Work with Project Team Leaders to detail and meet planned build schedules, budgets, and material allowances
- Responsible for research, conceptual design, design analysis, detailed drawings, assembly and testing, document writing, engineering changes, field work and standards compliance
- **Electrical Engineer - Key Responsibilities**:_
- Responsible for design of schematics and wiring diagrams, specifications development, and component specifications and sourcing
- Contributes regularly to hands-on work in a shop environment; building, troubleshooting, and testing equipment
- **Hydraulic & Fluid Systems Designer - Key Responsibilities**:_
- Work with Project Team Leaders to detail and meet planned build schedules, budgets, and material allowances
- Responsible for research, conceptual design, design analysis, detailed drawings, assembly and testing, document writing, engineering changes, field work and standards compliance
- **Electrical Assembly Technician - Key Responsibilities**:_
- Installation of electrical systems, components, circuits, and cabling on new mobile equipment designs
- Verification of electrical system installation and performance requirements
- Maintain, update, diagnose and repair of electrical control systems
- **Junior Controls Designer - Key Responsibilities**:_
- Responsible for research, concept design, design analysis, testing, report writing, engineering changes, and field work
- Develops block diagrams, control/process flow charts and documentation
- **Required Qualifications**:_
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering, or computer science
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines
- Self-motivated and capable of taking initiative to complete tasks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- CAD software (SolidWorks) experience considered an asset
