To supervise the work, people, and results in assigned plant to assure, inspect and evaluate the quality of product throughout the manufacturing process. Maintains the quality assurance program according to Company and Regulatory/Legislative standards and requirements, working closely with operations personnel to deliver on all Quality Assurance Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervises the work of QA and Sanitation technicians to ensure all key responsibilities are performed according to Company and Regulatory/Legislative Requirements.
- Provides regular training, instruction and guidance and maintains close surveillance over testing and inspection procedures to ensure the success of technicians.
- Recommend enhancements to Corporate Standard Operating Procedures.
- Coordinate random sampling program ensuring results are logged and action is taken on any production that requires holds, or production down time to investigate and fix problems.
- Ensures all non
- conformances are promptly investigated and resolved, involving the appropriate upstream and downstream process owners.
- Communicate effectively and assertively with plant management to take appropriate action on production, including stopping production or holding product which is out of tolerance.
- KPI Accountabilities - reporting, effective performance management and coaching to produce high performing technician team, meet budget requirements, eliminate quality related non-conformances, and reduce tanked product.

**Education/Skills/Experience**:

- Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in related field combined with 2- 5 years quality assurance experience in the non-durable goods sector.
- Working knowledge of requirements of applicable regulatory agencies, standards, legislation, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills to interact effectively with all functions and levels within the plant.
- Effective planner and organizer to meet agreed upon business objectives.
- Supervisory skills to effectively manage people and delegate.Other duties as assigned.
- Highly analytical with solid mathematical skill set.
- Proficient with use of office automation tools
- Microsoft Excel, Word, for analysis, communication, and effective organization of work.

**Working Environment and Physical Demands**:

- Physically fit to do manual labour tasks in a large-scale industrial facility.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, and lifting.
