Reporting to the Manager, North Field Operations, you will supervise the daily coordination of overhead line crews to efficiently maintain the construction and maintenance of the overhead distribution system. This position will require the supervision of the installation and connection of residential, industrial, commercial, and temporary services to meet customer service dates. You will be responsible for various aspects of multiple project planning and preparation including scheduling of work in order of priority, material management and/or ordering and customer interaction.
Responsibilities include review of project estimates, bids, and proposals; managing contractors, and ensuring staff are properly briefed, equipped, trained, and meet requisite safe work procedures and facilitation of weekly Sub-Foreperson meetings. You will be expected to bring in capital projects on time and on budget and will need to work closely with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be required to perform site visits with crews and contractors in accordance with corporate policy and procedural guidelines. Maintenance of records will be required both manually and electronically. Considerable independent judgment is required in making decisions of appreciable difficulty. Additionally, you will provide leadership, coaching and development of team members, while maintaining a collaborative team dynamic.
We will require a minimum of seven years of varied experience as a certified journeyperson powerline technician. You are detail oriented and have exceptional problem solving, planning, project management, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, and computer skills.
