Dog Walker/pet Sitter

Fur Babies Pet Care is looking for a part time dog walker and a part time pet sitter starting September with possibility of starting sooner.

JOB REQUIRES HAVING YOUR OWN VEHICLE AND LICENSE AND DRIVING TO MULTIPLE HOUSES WITHIN KITCHENER/WATERLOO
- **Dog Walking**:_

This is a daytime position with most work between the hours of 10am-3pm Monday-Friday. Scheduling can be somewhat flexible (i.e., to work around school schedule or another part time)

Qualifications:

- Experience working with dogs and walking dogs an asset.
- You are dependable and prompt and can be counted on to adhere to a walking schedule. Reliability is of the upmost importance.
- You enjoy walking in all weather
- You are an independent and able to plan walking routes, requiring little direction, but do take instruction well.
- Smart Phone required in order to send photos and updates to clients from our app.
- Walks are all private - general one or two walks
- Walks are all on-leash
- Walks are all door-to-door - you are not transporting any dogs in your vehicle
- Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly
- Follow specific instructions provided by dog owners regarding their pets' care and behavior
- Ensure that dogs are leashed and under control at all times during walks
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to the owner
- Animal First Aid an asset or willing to obtain.
- **Pet Sitting**:_
- **MUST BE FLEXIBLE AS SOME VISITS ARE MORNING, AFTERNOON, EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS. WE ALSO OFFER OVERNIGHTS IN YOUR HOME OR CLIENTS HOME (TO BE DISCUSSED)**_

Qualifications:

- Experience with dogs, cats and other small animals
- You are dependable and prompt and can be counted on to adhere to drop in/visits schedule
- Smart Phone required in order to send photos and updates to clients from our app.
- Provide care for animals in the pet sitter's home or in the pet owner's home.
- Feed and provide water to animals.
- Walk, and play with animals.
- Provide basic medical care, such as administering medications or cleaning wounds. (If requested)
- Keep records of services provided and any changes in the animal's condition.
- Provide companionship to animals.
- Clean up after animals.
- Animal First Aid an asset or willing to obtain.
- **Requirements**:_
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid police check or be willing to obtain one
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle and be licensed
- Must have personal or professional experience with dogs
- Must have personal or professional experience with cats and other small animals
- Must be comfortable walking strong dogs
- Must be physically fit and able to walk in all weather conditions.
- Must have a working smart phone
- As you will be entering clients homes, a criminal record check will be required.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 10-15 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$21.00 per hour
