**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Design or related discipline
- Knowledge and experience related to Electrical and Hydraulic technical design
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Previous experience as a CAD technician
- Advanced knowledge of CAD (Auto-CAD Mechanical, and Solid-Works Software)
- Knowledge and experience of ERP
- Minimum of one year of Auto CAD drafting experience
- Knowledge of use of Adobe In-Design would be an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office. Including Excel and Access

- Knowledge of engineering principles and ability to create and read technical drawings
- A keen eye for detail, accuracy and quality
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- A flexible approach to decision making, to make changes to drawings at short notice
- Spacial and design skills to be able to visualize projects in 2D and 3D
- Good team player with other CAD technicians and participants on projects
- Problem solving, creativity and innovation in order to come up with solutions to design problems.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in order to design in line with industry standards.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Primary responsibility of this position involves completing the Bills of Materials, equipment drawings to provide to the customer, custom order processing and estimating.
- Create correct designs and select accurate components and integrate this into the design of our equipment while adhering to applicable standards and regulations.
- Completing sales and approval drawings for customers as well as processing of custom product estimates.
- Work to gather technical information to create configurable drawing for custom orders.
- Analyzes engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts.
- Troubleshoots and modifies designs/recommends corrective actions as required.
