Purchasing Assistant

Tri-Koating Inc. provides sandblasting and powder coating services to agricultural, energy, utilities, and construction industries. We are looking to add a Purchasing Assistant to our team. The position's Regular hours are 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday. Some OT as needed. This is a permanent full-time position. We provide competitive compensation & Insurance benefits.

Duties include:

- Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain the quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance.
- Acquire an understanding of all project requirements.
- Assist in developing profitable purchasing strategies (quantity, quality, & delivery)
- Review supplies to ensure the quality of products and timeframes for delivery.
- Maintain inventory supplies
- Enter/maintain Master Data and information records (products, BOMs, vendors, etc.)
- Manage, create, draft, and distribute quotes, purchase orders, and non-compliance documents.
- Maintain Inventory supplies.
- Participate in cycle counting and stock take and the associated resulting administration from these tasks.
- Assisting with other administrative tasks or duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience in procurement
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to create and edit Excel spreadsheets
- Proficient use of computers
- Analytical self-starter with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Previous experience is required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

- Winkler, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
