Electrical Apprentice

**Location**: Cambridge, ON (Onsite)

**Hourly Pay**: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Role Overview

Eclipse Automation is seeking an Electrical Apprentice for a fulltime day-shift position for our plant in Cambridge, ON. Reporting to the Electrical Shop Supervisor, the Electrical Apprentice will assist in panel building and machine wiring under the direction and supervision of licensed Electricians. The Electrical Apprentice will learn and develop skills needed to complete the Electrical Apprenticeship Program, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.

The Electrical Apprentice job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
**Technical**:

- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations
- Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit and raceways
- Pull wires through conduit, installation of conduit systems to include threading, bending, cutting and assembly of different types of conduit
- Fabricate, assemble and install various electrical components into control cabinets
- Terminate and wire components internal to control cabinets
- Connect wiring to equipment
- Safely operate power tools such as jig saws, electric drill, chop saw, etc.,.
- Learn and demonstrate skills required to complete Apprenticeship Program
- Wire panels and machines in accordance with Electrical drawings
- Safe and proper use of the laser engraver to make lamicoid tags

**Project Execution**:

- Ability to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safely
- Ensure scheduled milestones are met
- Notify the appropriate lead if milestones are not met
- Adhere to the Eclipse Project Operating Policy
- Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and or travel as required in varying timelines
- Maintain good corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate Vision
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct Code
- Foster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the business
- Take initiative on keeping up with good housekeeping in shop and build areas
- Travel to customer location to support service and install teams

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have Valid Driver’s License and be able to provide MVR driving record
- Must have Valid Passport
- Mechanically inclined
- Proven ability to learn
- Solid Works knowledge is an asset
